Estes Implements Price Increase Effective November 1.
RICHMOND, Va.—Estes Express Lines will implement a general rate increase with an average impact of 5.9% effective November 1, 2010.
Estes chose to implement the price increase to preserve the company’s excellent service levels and remain a strong competitor in the freight transportation industry. The general rate increase will stabilize margins, which provide the financial confidence to hire and retain experienced personnel across the nation and invest in new equipment and technology. These are all essential components for the long-term sustainability of the company.
The increase also helps keep pace with the rising cost of doing business such as increased healthcare and liability insurance premiums.
Updated rates will be available for download on the website, www.estes-express.com, beginning October 25, 2010, or by contacting your sales representative. For individual rate quotes, please call your local Estes terminal or contact one of Estes’ corporate office rating specialists at 866-ESTES4U (866-378-3748), press 12.
